Mr George Christopoulos is a renowned and highly experienced aesthetic doctor and plastic surgeon, with a particular focus on aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, as well as body contouring. He has fulfilled clinical fellowships in the plastic surgery departments of some of the UK’s most respected hospitals and holds practice privileges at a number of London’s leading clinics. Additionally, he holds the position of ‘Assistant Professor of Aesthetic Medicine’ at the College of Medicine & Dentistry of the Ulster University. Mr Christopoulos has published and presented extensively on aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
He undertook his medical education at the Medical School of Athens and his core surgical training at National General Hospital of Athens. Following this, he fulfilled his first Master’s Degree in ‘Health Care Management’ at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and undertook a Clinical Fellowship at the University Hospital of Skin & Venereal Diseases in Athens. During that time, he obtained with Distinction his PhD title from the Medical School of Athens on the surgical treatment of skin cancer.
In 2015, Mr Christopoulos relocated to the UK and took on the role of SHO Doctor in Burns and Plastics at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Burns and Plastics at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester. He completed his second M.Sc. in ‘Reconstructive Microsurgery’ at Queen Mary University of London in 2018, achieving again a Distinction for the highest grade of his year. Following this he has held roles as Plastic Surgery Registrar and Plastic Surgery Senior Clinical Fellow at the renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, and as Trauma and Reconstructive Fellow at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals.
