Indran Balasundaram
Indran is an award-winning, the UK trained and accredited Consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing in London. He has a specialist interest in Facial Injuries and Skin surgery. He also operates a practice that includes salivary gland surgery and complicated tooth removal including wisdom teeth.
Indran has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work Nationally and Internationally. He has been awarded the Research Grant from the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is the Lead for Trauma Specialist Interest Group.
He trained at both Imperial College and Kings College London and holds both qualifications in medicine and dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and his NHS practice involves oral surgery, facial trauma/injuries, and skin cancer work. His current NHS work is at London Northwest University NHS Trust, Imperial College NHS Trust, and Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust. He has previously held a college tutor position at Oxford University.
At London Dermatology Clinic, he can offer surgical procedures within the mouth as well as facial skin surgery to remove moles, tags, cysts, and other lumps or bumps for medical or cosmetic purposes.
Outside of work he is an avid Cyclist and has traveled the length of England. He has also cycled different parts of the world including Sri Lanka, Canada, and Europe. He likes to cook in his spare time and regularly showcases his culinary skills to family and friends.
